As we commence our 26th season we have so many people to thank for the success of Nocturne.
To begin, Blanche Hinton, Brian Lodge, Founding Members and Charles Somerton, Member of Merit, had a beautiful dream. They sought to bring quality musical performances to serve our community’s need for cultural enrichment, education and entertainment. They enthusiastically rolled up their sleeves and with energetic determination and devotion brought that vision to life.
Our appreciation goes out to the talented conductors, singers, and musicians who played with passionate spirit. You made our evenings together truly memorable.
Thank you to our very loyal and caring patrons. You have been faithfully attending for 26 years, always appreciative and most generous with your compliments and much needed financial assistance. It makes us extremely humble to receive your continuing support.
Our volunteers and board members over 26 years are too many to list, but kept firmly and lovingly in our hearts for their kindness and freely offering MCP their leisure time.
Making this 26th season celebration successful has been an unforgettable, exciting experience.
With deepest gratitude,
Board and Members of Milton Concert Presentations 2011-12.
Milton Concert Presentations receives a $13,560 grant from Milton Community Fund!
The mantra of Arts Milton is "Building Community with the Arts". What defines a Community are those characteristics that separate one group or area from another. It is a great blessing to receive these funds to promote the arts in our community.
Milton Concert Presentations was formed 21 years ago to bring first class entertainment to Milton. Over these past 21 years we have been supported by thousands of individuals interested in attending concerts featuring large and medium sized groups as well as top named artists on tour. We have used the idea of providing an extra venue for established performances.
The generosity of the Milton Community Fund and our many benefactors, sponsors and supporters have made it possible to continue. As a totally voluntary organization, we value these contributions and ensure that those funds have the maximum impact for our audience.
What makes our community separate from other communities? What makes our community different from those around us is up to us. We can be known as a community that embraces the higher vestiges of society, that of the Arts and Intellectual pursuits; one that supports its artists and appreciation of those arts.
As a Community minded organization, we are, with your assistance, truly building Community with the Arts.
Thank you
John Dorris,
Member of the Board,
